Dundee United Centenary

Dundee United FC was founded as Dundee Hibernian on 24 May 1909 and took part in senior league football for the first time the following season. Season 2009/2010 therefore marks the Club’s Centenary Season and these web pages are dedicated to this landmark anniversary.

We will provide regular updates on centenary events and links to related centenary celebrations and merchandise.

There will also be links to Dundee United’s Greatest Team of the last 100 years, as voted for by subscribers to the free weekly Dundee United enewsletter, ArabNeWs and hosted on ArabZONE. Details of those included in this team will be announced in June.

Details of Dundee United’s Centenary Season Tickets can be found here, as can information on the Special Granite Centenary Brick. We will also provide information on the Gala Centenary Dinner at the Caird Hall on Friday 11 September and the Centenary Exhibition which will be open to the public from Tuesday 16 June.

We will also cover and archive all other news stories and events surrounding the Centenary.

The centenary of other clubs in recent years have been celebrated by a number of supporters’ led events and Dundee United is keen to help promote and support these wherever possible. Ideally, these should be run in partnership with The Federation of Dundee United Supporters’ Clubs or ArabTRUST, but we will be happy to receive all relevant suggestions and, if appropriate, put them to these bodies on your behalf. Please contact us on riki@dundeeunitedfc.co.uk with your feedback and suggestions.
