Manager Alex Smith saw French trialist Nicolas Oudec in a closed door game on Thursday afternoon. Oudec was joined in the United line up by a Danish fullback. Initially it was understood the Dane was injured, but he turned up fit and well and was included in the team.
Oudec, who was formerly with Paris St. Germain, is unlikely to face Motherwell at Tannadice on Saturday, even if he impressed the manager in his trial. "He has not had a competitive match for a while, so I will have to judge his fitness and if we do fix him up, all the paperwork would take time to complete, so I don't see Saturday as being an option," said Alex.
