United pair Stephen Wright and Jamie Buchan will be missing at Rangers on Sunday after picking up injuries against their old team Aberdeen on Saturday. Wright suffered concussion and had to be taken to hospital after the Dons game. Strict medical rules govern such problems and that is why he will not be allowed to face the champions this weekend.
There was mixed news for Buchan, whose leg is not broken as was first feared. However, he did suffer a deep gash which required ten stitches and that will rule him out of the Ibrox trip. On Monday afternoon the Under-21 play at Aberdeen. Friday's signings from Honduras, Reinaldo Clavasquin, Francisco Ramirez and Argentinian Gustavo Fuentes were unable to play because their clearance has still to come through.
