United trained near their Seamill base again on Thursday and, despite heavy rain, put in another hard stint. With no new injury worries, there was a near full compliment of first team men who worked out at the home of Troon Juniors. "The weather has not been great, but that has not stopped us getting out on the training pitch," said coach Maurice Malpas.
There was good news from further afield as well, with reserve goalkeeper Pat Onstad earning rave reviews for his performance in Canada's goal-less World Cup draw with Mexico in Toronto. Skipper Jason de Vos was also involved in that match and both he and Onstad are due back at Tannadice late on Friday.
