UNITED TO PAY FANS' BUS COSTS

28th November 2000

Dundee United have offered to meet the cost of supporters' buses in an effort to boost the number of Arabs travelling to Saturday's vital away clash with St Mirren. The scheme will be organised through the Federation of Dundee United Supporters Clubs. Federation President Mike Barile said: "I would urge all United fans to take up this offer because win, lose or draw against Killie tonight, the St Mirren game is a nine-pointer".

Manager Alex Smith said: "The fans have been absolutely brilliant. They've stuck with us all along and I have no doubt the backing they are giving the lads is going to help us turn our season around". "The boys and I need a big support with us down at Paisley on Saturday and I'd urge fans to take advantage of this offer from the Club to pay the buses."
