Points And Places

29th April 2015

Dundee United has five games remaining in what has been a rollercoaster season with both highs and lows. Despite the recent disappointing run of results, European qualification remains a very real possibility. We are calling on all United fans to continue the superb backing they have shown over the course of the season and help secure the best possible finish to the campaign. Attendances at Tannadice are up on last season and the backing the team has received at away games has been absolutely fantastic. Time and again, Arabs have shown how passionate they are about Dundee United and that support will be vital in securing a strong finish to the season. The Tangerines currently sit six points behind third placed Inverness CT and two points behind fourth placed St Johnstone. Crucially, three of the Terrors’ last five games are against these two teams. This Saturday sees Aberdeen visit Tannadice for a 3pm kick off and victory in this game would be the perfect launch pad into the crucial fixtures against those teams competing with us for league positions. Tickets for this fixture are still on sale and season ticket voucher 18 applies. After the Aberdeen match, we head up the A9 on Tuesday night for an away match versus Scottish Cup finalists Inverness CT before another away trip to Perth on Saturday 9 May at 3pm. The fourth of these crucial matches again pitches us up against Inverness CT at the Caledonian Stadium on Saturday 16th May at 3pm. Tickets for the away trip to Perth are on sale from Friday 1st May. The visit to Inverness on Tuesday on 5 May is pay at the turnstile and the second trip up the A9 on Saturday 9 May will be an advance ticket match and full details for all three games are here. The season then finishes with the fantastic derby match versus Dundee at Tannadice on Sunday 24 May at 12.30pm. Tickets for this game are now on sale. Full details can be viewed here. With your continued backing over these fixtures and everyone united in the pursuit of both points and places, European football could be at Tannadice next season. #PointsAndPlaces
