Fans Rally Round

26th May 2015

Dundee United supporters showed their strength of support for the team once again this season as attendances break through the 8,000 average crowd mark. Premiership attendances at Tannadice were up by over 5% with average crowds of 8,113 compared to 7,700 the season before. Total league attendance was 154,151 over 19 games compared to 138,601 over 18 games last season. The biggest crowd at Tannadice for a Premiership match was at the magnificent 6-2 New Year’s Day derby victory against Dundee with 12,964 packing the stadium to witness a game that will live long in the memory of the home support. Stephen Thompson, Chairman, said: “I’d like to thank the supporters once again for their backing of the team. Sunday’s victory was for them and the players knew they were putting on a show to thank them for their support. We are now looking forward to next season and have begun preparing for this already in order to be ready for the new campaign with confidence.”
