United have also announced that three experienced first team squad members will not be offered new contracts when their current deals expire in the close season.

Frenchman Bernard Pascual, Swede Magnus Skoldmark and Northern Ireland international Iain Jenkins will all be playing their football elsewhere next season. Pascual was a regular for much of the season but is now looking to continue his career back home in France, while Skoldmark and club captain Jenkins did not feature often this term.

Club captain Jenkins' time at Tannadice was badly hit by injuries, but the former Chester City fullback is hopeful of finding a club down south again. "Injuries really ruined Iain's chances of featuring regularly during his time here, but I would like to thank him, Bernard and Magnus for their efforts for the football club," says Paul.
