Manager Paul Sturrock's search for attacking talent will continue despite him being encouraged by aspects of the performance against Celtic on Sunday night.
Although the Tangerines went down 2-1, Paul was happy with the second half display and felt his side could have taken something from the game. Even so, he is determined to strengthen his attack, if possible before Saturday's visit to Hibs.
"I think we showed we are heading in the right direction, but there is no question we are short of a certain type of player up front," he said on Monday. "It will not be easy to find one because every manager right now is looking for strikers. However, we are working on a few things and will keep searching until we get the players we need."
A big plus from the Celtic game was the performance of 18-year-old centre half David McCracken, who opened his scoring account for the club. "He did very well and did not look at all out of place - not bad considering he was up against Chris Sutton and Henrik Larsson." Looking ahead to the Hibs game, David Partridge is available after suspension, but Danny Griffin is unlikely to be fit in time.
