Foodbank Collection Success

Foodbank collectors at the Eddie Thompson Stand on Saturday

Published: 26th December 2018

This year's festive foodbank collection was a huge success with over £2,000 in cash being raised and nearly 500kg of food handed in prior to the home game against Falkirk on Saturday 22nd December.

Volunteers from The Dundee Foodbank and Taught by Muhammad food charities along with the Dundee United Community Trust collected both food and cash prior to the game with collection points at both Eddie Thompson and George Fox stands for home fans and the shed for away fans.

The Club and the Community Trust would like to say a huge thanks to the volunteers and everyone who contributed both food and money as well as to Freddy Frans for backing the appeal.

Everything that was donated is split between the Dundee Foodbank and Taught by Muhammad to help desperate people in our community at what can be a really difficult time of year.

For anyone still wishing to donate, please visit our Justgiving Page which will be open for a few more days.
