ALL-CHANGE UNITED AT BRAY

13th July 2000

It is set to be all change-almost-as United take on Bray Wanderers in the second game of the Irish tour on Thursday night.

With the exception of one or two players, boss Paul Sturrock plans to give those members of his squad who were not on at kick off in Tuesday's loss to Bohemians, starting places. That means starting places for two of the four foreign trialists in the party, while Grant Johnson will also get another chance to try to attempt to earn a permanent contract.

Jim Paterson, who managed just over an hour of his come back on Tuesday, will be one of the few who starts for the second game in a row. "Jim needs games to build up his fitness and this run out should do him good," says the manager. "As a whole, I'm looking to try a few things out tonight and that will take priority over the result."

Back in Scotland, the club remain on course to finalise the signing of St Johnstone centre-half Danny Griffin in the next day or so.
