UNITED BRING CHRISTMAS CHEER TO HOSPITAL KIDS

12th December 2019

Head Coach Robbie Neilson and United first team players visited Tayside Children’s Hospital today to bring a little Christmas cheer to patients and staff.

The squad arrived with gifts and spent time chatting with the children, posing for photos and signing autographs in an attempt to brighten the spirits of those unfortunate enough to be spending the Christmas period on a hospital ward.

Captain Mark Reynolds said, "We were pleased to visit the hospital today and all the lads chipped in for the presents. We hope we could bring a little bit of happiness and joy to the kids.

“We are grateful to the staff for rearranging the visit as we had to change the date after the postponement of our game against Morton. The players appreciate the amazing job the staff do all year round and it is always great to meet them.”

NHS Tayside Chief Executive Grant Archibald said, “We were delighted to welcome the players and officials from Dundee United to Ninewells at Christmas.

“Having to be in the hospital at Christmas time is never pleasant, but visits like this make the time more bearable for the children.

“We are very grateful to Dundee United for their generosity and for taking the time out of their busy training schedule.”
