Dundee United FC Women have made their second signing of the summer as Alix Moodie is next to come on board, subject to SFA approval.
Double Swoop
Similar to Ellie May Cowie, Moodie arrives at Foundation Park from St Johnstone following three years with the Perth-based outfit.
The 29-year-old heads to the top flight after progressing up the SWPL pyramid, where she made her debut for Cowdenbeath at the age of 15. Following four years spent there, the midfielder enjoyed seven seasons at Dunfermline Athletic before beginning her time at Saints.
Winning the Coaches’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards last season, Moodie is hoping her experience can help to boost United this coming season. Upon joining up with Suzy Shepherd's side, she said "I’m delighted to sign for United, the ambition of this club is something I want to contribute to and it's a challenge I couldn't turn down and I’m ready to be part of.
“I’m hope my experience that I bring to the team will help both myself and others thrive, together along with my drive in the middle of the pitch, I feel I bring qualities to the side that will help us be successful on the park.”
