Dundee United winger Amar Fatah spoke to the broadcast media to preview our William Hill Premiership clash with Motherwell on Foundation Day.
The budding Swede discussed putting a string of positive results together during an action-packed festive period, settling in to life in the Scottish top-flight and maintaining a healthy relationship with Manager, Jim Goodwin.
ON FINDING CONSISTENCY TO TURN THE CORNER

We speak a lot about the situation of course, but I think we see a bright side of it that it's just a bad moment at the moment, so the important thing is that we stick together. In a certain way, it’s good that the bad moments happen this early so at the end of the season that the games will close and we will start winning. Positive energy only.
It's hard to really say what’s going wrong at the moment. Maybe it's just the games that come so quick and we have changed some things, but we need to find the consistency.
It's up to our players on the pitch and the players that come in to really deliver. I think we struggled to maintain the consistency and that's what we're lacking.
ON FINDING HIS FEET IN SCOTLAND
This club suits me and the playing style that I try to bring. I want to help the team as much as possible to be in the top six and to showcase myself in this league. You have to think about the bigger picture as well — we're losing and we need to be positive. I think I bring positivity to the team.

I'm capable of bringing much more to bring to the team. Rangers was just a glimpse of what I can do and hopefully I can keep doing it.
ON HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MANAGER AND ADAPTING TO THE TEAM’S NEEDS
It's always a discussion. That's why I really like the gaffer — he's always communicative and he speaks with the players. He decided to play 3-5-2 and play with two strikers at the top. You have to accept the decision and try to come in with positive energy. At that time, St Mirren had been the better team and we couldn't really hurt them the way we wanted. For the next game, we'll try to get the first goal early and be the team that's leading.

I can play in every formation. I'm a winger so I prefer to play on the left side, and whatever formation plays with wingers, I can play on the left or right side - It's up to the manager.
ON AN ACTION-PACKED FESTIVE PERIOD
I see this month as a huge moment where we need to prove to ourselves - these challenges coming up are exciting. We need to approach each game as the most important one. We have Motherwell at home, Celtic at home, Hibs at home then Aberdeen away. These are really good games to look forward to and we need the mindset to win all of them and take three points.

ON THE STEELMEN
You can see clearly they trained a lot in their system and the way they try to play. They're playing well, both attackingly and defensively, and credit to the manager and the players. But on Saturday we need to show no fear and try to play our game. We want to be the team that's leading — get the early goal and not go downhill.
I try to look forward to every game I play. But when you play against teams like Celtic and Motherwell, who play good football, you feel like you have more opportunities to get on the ball.
