Dundee United are delighted to announce the signing of Lachlan Rose on a pre-contract agreement.
Upon the expiry of his deal with A-League outfit Newcastle Jets, the Australian will arrive at Tannadice in the summer on a two-year contract, with a club-held option of a further 12 months.

Rose’s unique route into the professional game began in 2019 when he starred for Australia’s five-a-side team at the Red Bull World Finals, catching the eye of Sydney-based outfit MacArthur FC ahead of their inaugural campaign in the A-League.
The frontman grasped his golden opportunity with both hands, making 24 appearances throughout his debut season and helping The Bulls claim a place in the Finals with a sixth-placed finish. Rose then fired MacArthur to their maiden domestic honour the following year by contributing three goals and an assist to their charge towards Australia Cup glory.
One touch. Top corner. Thanks for coming ????

He enjoyed a further two goal-laden terms at the Campbelltown Stadium, becoming the club's record appearance holder in the process, before being snapped up by the Newcastle Jets in the summer of 2024 to replace Apostolos Stamatelopoulos following his switch to Motherwell.
Our summer recruit picked up from where he left off in New South Wales, enjoying the most prolific campaign of his career with eight top-flight strikes and claiming another Australia Cup winners’ medal as The Jets defeated Heidelberg United in the Final.

Having already matched his 2024/25 goal tally, the 26-year-old is currently the joint highest-scoring Australian in his homeland as he battles with fellow future Terrors frontman Jesse Randall for the Golden Boot.
Mark Milligan’s side are also in pole position to claim their first league title since 2008, having lost just one of their last eleven games.
Lachlan Rose scores a STUNNING HEADER! ????
