With the 2025/26 home campaign now complete, preparations are already underway at the CalForth Construction Arena as work begins on a major close-season pitch renovation ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Preparations for the 2026/27 season began immediately following the conclusion of the club’s final home fixture against Livingston, with renovation works commencing the following morning.

Following an extremely challenging season which saw record rainfall throughout the winter months across the east coast, the club has begun the annual pitch renovation process, which will include additional works to improve drainage. The process will ensure the playing surface is restored to the highest possible standard for the new campaign.

The work is being overseen by the groundstaff in conjunction with Allgrass, who will carry out the renovation works. The close season will see a comprehensive programme undertaken, designed to improve drainage, strengthen the root structure of the pitch and create a more consistent, durable playing surface capable of coping with the demands of modern football and the Scottish climate.

As part of the renovation, the existing surface has been removed. This will be followed by extensive secondary drainage works prior to the re-growth process.

These works are all aimed at delivering a surface capable of withstanding the demands of a long season and providing the best possible playing conditions throughout the campaign.

Supporters will be able to follow the progress of the renovation works across the club website and social media channels throughout the summer as preparations continue for the beginning of the 2026/27 campaign.
