ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 Fixtures Announced

Dundee United FC Women’s fixtures for the upcoming 2026/27 Scottish Power Women’s Premier League 2 campaign have been announced by the SWPL this lunchtime with Suzy Shepherd’s side hosting promoted side Falkirk on Sunday 16 August at Foundation Park.

The league will continue with the split that was adopted last season. Once each team has played each other twice, the league will split in two, with the top six and bottom four going on to complete a second phase.

The top six clubs will face each other twice, resulting in 10 matches per team. The bottom four clubs will also meet twice, playing 6 matches each. The league winners will gain automatic promotion to SWPL1.

Clubs finishing 2nd to 4th will enter a new promotion play-off.
Alongside the team finishing 11th in SWPL1, the structure mirrors the SPFL Premiership play-offs; the higher-ranked side will play at home in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

The final will be played at a neutral venue, with the winner earning a place in SWPL1 after facing the 11th-placed side from the top flight.

United’s first away trip of the season comes on 23 August, as they travel to face last season’s title challenging Kilmarnock.

The winter break will begin after we host Kilmarnock on Sunday 20 December, with league action resuming when we travel to Gartcairn on Sunday 17 January.

Our final pre-split clash will be on Sunday 21 February when we travel to Falkirk, with the split starting three weeks later on Sunday 14 March.
