Dundee United can today announce that Sam Cleall-Harding has joined William Hill Championship side Dunfermline Athletic on-loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old links up with the Pars, under the stewardship of Neil Lennon, as they look to build on a 4th placed finish and Scottish Cup final appearance last campaign.
The Scotland U21 International made 10 appearances for United last season and Manager Jim Goodwin believes the loan can only accelerate the young defender’s development.
“It’s a brilliant move for Sam and allows him to go and express himself at a side that is returning off the back of a really strong season,” Goodwin said.
“We felt it was important this summer to find a club where Sam could go play a run of games and continue his development playing week in, week out.
“We all look forward to seeing how Sam gets on and I wish him and Dunfermline all the best for the upcoming season.”
