Significant improvements to Dundee United's Academy facilities at Foundation Park will now be completed after members of the Dundee United Supporters' Foundation (DUSF) voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new funding proposal.

In a ballot of DUSF members, 92% voted in favour of the proposal from a turnout of 75.3%. This result secures £176,866 of additional financial support to complete the next phase of the Foundation Park development while continuing to strengthen the club's Academy programme.

The approved funding will be used to deliver major infrastructure improvements at Foundation Park, while also supporting Academy player development throughout the 2026/27 season. These investments will not only enhance the club's long-term player pathway but will also allow Dundee United to reallocate internal financial resources towards the first-team player budget.

Planned projects to be delivered with this funding include:

  • A major rebuild and upgrade of changing facilities
  • Improvements to shower rooms, flooring, seating and lighting
  • Upgraded toilet facilities and referee areas
  • Funding for one year of elite video analysis and data software to support Academy Director Scott Allison and his coaching staff

As part of the agreement, the existing legal arrangements covering Foundation Park will be extended, including the continuation of DUSF naming rights until at least July 2031, alongside updated legal protection covering the Foundation's latest investment.

The agreement also strengthens the strategic partnership between Dundee United FC and DUSF for the 2026/27 season. An enhanced package of promotional benefits will include a dedicated Foundation Day, increased promotional opportunities and regular engagement between the club's senior leadership team and Foundation members.

This outcome reflects the continued commitment of DUSF members to the long-term progress of Dundee United.

Dundee United Finance Director, James Robertson, commented: "Dundee United FC is pleased that the Dundee United Supporters' Foundation members have voted so strongly, once again, in favour of the funding proposal.

"Our vision for the Academy remains unwavering, and the continued development and progress we continue to make remains significant in our long-term approach. As important, this commitment allows us to commit financial resources elsewhere across the club, including our first-team football budget.

"The partnership with DUSF and the continued financial commitment by its members works alongside the hard work by staff and leadership, the Board of Directors and senior leadership, and continues to enhance improvements that are taking place across the club and its facilities whilst allowing the club to remain competitive on the park.

"The Chairman and senior leadership express our thanks to all members who voted, to everyone for their continued financial support towards the club, and to the DUSF Board of Directors for their diligent and passionate work."

DUSF Director Martin Manzi, added: "Our primary responsibility is always to protect, preserve and advance the long-term future of our club, community assets and young talent. Every single penny of the £176,866 is ring-fenced and paid directly towards tangible bricks-and-mortar infrastructure and youth development software. This funding brings the sum invested by DUSF members in the major improvements at Foundation Park to £736,000, while the total amount donated to Dundee United FC, fans' projects and charities now exceeds £882,000.

"This latest vote completes the major development of Foundation Park, enhancing our Academy facilities and directly assisting the first-team football budget. We sincerely thank all of our members for their continued passion and commitment to the long-term future of Dundee United."
