New Cooperation Agreement with Clyde

Dundee United is pleased to confirm we have entered a Cooperation agreement with William Hill League Two side Clyde FC.

The agreement sees players in the key ‘transitional’ phase (16-21 years old) given the opportunity to move freely between a lower-league club and United’s first-team continuously throughout the season, affording more opportunities for senior action.

It also means all players can play for both clubs to ensure their weekly minutes are managed between Clyde and our U19/ KDM Cup programme.

Jamie Forrest, Jack Anderson and Keir Gilligan will head to North Lanarkshire and will link up straight away with Darren Young’s side.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT AGREEMENT

Academy Director, Scott Allison, added: “We’re delighted to establish this agreement with Clyde ahead of the new season.

“Finding the right environment for our young players is crucial and we believe this partnership provides an excellent platform for Jamie, Jack and Keir to experience senior football whilst continuing to progress within the Dundee United pathway.

"We also have a really strong relationship with Darren Young and Neil Scally and look forward to seeing how the lads develop throughout the season."
