Dundee United Football Club can confirm that the club has been granted an occasional licence by Dundee City Licensing Board to permit the sale and consumption of alcohol within designated areas of the CalForth Construction Arena at Tannadice Park for the forthcoming William Hill Premiership fixture against Falkirk.
The licence has been granted following a number of similar successful applications at other clubs across Scotland and the successful introduction of controlled alcohol sales at our matches in the Premier Sports Cup during the summer. The clubs will continue to work closely with Dundee City Licensing Board, Police Scotland, Dundee City Council, the Safety Advisory Group and the SPFL.
For the Falkirk fixture, alcohol sales will operate in all home sections of the stadium - within the George Fox Lower and Upper concourses and the Eddie Thompson Stand Upper and Lower concourses.
Selected turnstiles in the home end will open at 1pm, with the bar facilities closing at 2.30pm ahead of the 3pm kick-off. All remaining turnstiles will open as normal at 2pm.
Supporters aged 18 and over will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages within these designated areas before kick-off. Alcohol may only be consumed within the licensed concourse areas and cannot be taken into the stadium seating deck.
Challenge 25 will operate throughout the stadium, with a maximum purchase limit in place per transaction. All alcohol sales will be managed in accordance with the club's Alcohol Management Plan and the conditions of the licence.
