Dundee United FC Women can confirm that our Scottish Power SWPL 1 match vs Spartans Women, scheduled for tomorrow at 1.00pm, has been postponed.
The club has been in dialogue with the SWPL over the last twenty-four hours, where we have expressed significant concern for the safety of several of our players due to travel from the most affected areas of Scotland during the ongoing Storm Babet.
Having discussed the potential impact of travel with affected members of the squad, the Club did not feel comfortable asking Players to go against local travel advice and be put at unnecessary risk.
The Club are grateful for the cooperation of the SWPL and our opponents Spartans during discussions.
Safety comes first and we believe this is the correct decision.
The club will confirm details for the re-arranged fixture in due course.
