THANK YOU DUNDEE NORTH END FC

21st July 2020

Dundee United FC would like to thank Dundee North End FC for providing facilities for pre-season training and officially announce our partnership with the Junior club.

When the Club was officially given permission to return to training by the Scottish Government it quickly became apparent that the High Performance Centre at the St Andrews University would be unavailable due to the current circumstances with no date to return.

Thankfully, we were made aware of the facilities and excellent pitch condition at North End and, after conducting some meetings, were delighted to be able to agree to have use of the facilities.

Any return to training whether it be at the HPC, North End or anywhere else would have been less than ideal under the necessary guidelines, however the people at North End could not have been more accommodating towards us.

The pitch was in fantastic condition and has held up very well despite a lot of traffic over the last month and we were able to implement the required COVID-19 protocols.

Ross Starke, Football Operations Manager, said: "It has been fantastic to be able to give a little back to a local team, so close to Tannadice. Every business, club, individual has been affected by the impact of the pandemic so for the club to be able to offer some support to Dundee North End at this time has been important.

"As part of the deal we are delighted to be able to donate a unique set of Macron training kit to Dundee North End for their players and staff ahead of the new season.

"On behalf of Dundee United Football Club I would like to place on record our thanks to Gary, John, Tony and everyone at Dundee North End for their help in facilitating our preparations for the new season."
