SPFL CONFIRM THE RETURN OF THE CINCH RESERVE LEAGUE

Following discussions with member clubs, the SPFL have today confirmed the cinch Reserve League is back for the 2022/23 season.

The league was curtailed prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, however will return on Tuesday 6th September as we take on Hibernian at the HTC.

There are a total of ten clubs in the division, Ayr United, Dundee, Dundee United, Hamilton Academical, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Livingston, Motherwell, Queen of the South and Queen's Park. The teams will play each other once throughout the season, with matches scheduled to take place on a Tuesday afternoon at 2pm.

The aforementioned clubs will also compete in the cinch Reserve League Cup.

Neil Doncaster, SPFL Chief Executive, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer our member clubs the opportunity to be able to play SPFL cinch Reserve League football again, after the League was originally paused due to the pandemic.
