Dundee United FC Women are delighted to announce the signing of forward Morgan Steedman.
The 27 year old moves to Foundation Park after a fruitful four years at St Johnstone, where she has been top goalscorer the previous two seasons, and netting eight already this season.
Morgan started her career at Dunfermline Athletic and had a spell at Jeanfield Swifts before returning to the Pars. She would contribute a steady stream of goals over her second spell at Dunfermline with her hard work catching the eye of St Johnstone in January 2020.
The attacker expressed her eagerness to get going after signing ahead of this Sunday’s SWPL1 match at home to Hamilton Academical.
“I’m really excited to sign, I want to have the challenge and take my football to the next level. I think playing against top flight teams can only help me improve.”
Head Coach Graeme Hart spoke of his excitement at capturing Morgan’s signature:
“We’re delighted to finally bring Morgan to the Club, she’s a player we’ve admired for a long time. We had some discussions in the summer and things didn’t quite work out then, but we are delighted to get things finalised now.”
“We are aware of Morgan’s capabilities and the qualities she brings will be a great addition to the team. She is a proven goalscorer and we are excited to see her make the step up show what she can do in the top league.”
