COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS

8th December 2005

United Chairman Eddie Thompson OBE was on hand this afternoon as the United commemorative brick project saw the first bricks being put onto the wall at Tannadice. "We are delighted to finally see the bricks appearing on the wall," said Associate Commercial Director Bill Campbell.

"The initial response has been encouraging and once all the bricks, both the terracotta and the tangerine glazed, are in position then we will possibly see a substantial increase in the volume of orders for supporters who want to have their name or message put onto the stadium."

The first official commemorative bricks belonged to Pat Kelly and his son Patrick (pictured with Eddie Thompson). The bricks can be viewed at the main entrance to the stadium on Tannadice Street.
