Scott McCulloch has joined Sam Hammam's Cardiff City in a six-figure transfer deal, a Club spokesman confirmed late this afternoon. The Ayrshire-born full back joined United on 26 February 1999 in a deal which saw cash and Jamie Dolan head to Dunfermline.
Scott began his career with Rangers, but it was with Hamilton Accies that the full-back established himself, prompting a move to East End Park where he spent three and a half years before his Tannadice transfer.
Although able to play in defence or midfield on the left side he failed to establish himself as a first team regular and in total made nineteen appearances plus five as a substitute with one cup appearance. "Scott leaves United for Ninian Park with the best wishes of everyone at Tannadice, " said a Club spokesman.
