UNITED WIN SCOTTISH CUP

15th May 2010

Scottish Cup glory was claimed by United at a sun-kissed Hampden this afternoon. The Terrors picked up their first trophy in 16 years and fifth in their history after beating Ross County 3-0.

David Goodwillie wrote his name into the history books, lobbing over goalkeeper Michael McGovern from 25 yards on the 60th minute after the keeper failed to clear.

Craig Conway was next on the list, latching on to a flick on from Scott Robertson ten yards into the County half before beating defender Scott Morrison to create a one on one with the keeper; he handled this expertly slotting coolly home in the 74th minute.

Conway then staked a claim for man of the match when excellent build up play from Jon Daly and Morgaro Gomis created space five yards out which Conway duly exploited, shooting into the ground and past McGovern in the 85th minute.

The largest gathering of Arabs ever assembled could relax and began to party. The 80s, 94 and now 2010. It's a beautiful day.
