SEASON TICKET SALES CHEER FOR BOSS SMITH
Boss Alex Smith was full of praise on Tuesday for the thousands of fans who have flocked to buy United season tickets for next term.

The tickets went on sale at the beginning of June and as of this week a remarkable 4400 have already been sold and that's prompted comment from Alex. "This is typical of our fans and the way they have supported us. This makes us even more determined to give them the kind of football they deserve at Tannadice," he said.

On the playing front, Alex will finalise the squad for the trip to Holland, which gets underway on Saturday, after Wednesday's closed door game against senior opposition. He has already made up his mind about most of the party, but a couple of places are still up for grabs. Those who do not travel over the North Sea will train under Paul Hegarty back at Tannadice and also have plenty of action, starting with a friendly at Peterhead on Saturday.
