ALEX LOOKS FOR WINNING WAYS

24th August 2002

Looking ahead to tomorrow's clash with Motherwell at Tannadice, Manager Alex Smith stated on Friday: "We were most unfortunate against Kilmarnock, taking the lead and then losing two goals. On Sunday, we want to make it up to our loyal fans and give them something to cheer about with a win. It will certainly be a difficult game and will take a great deal of skill and character. Terry Butcher seems to have instilled a fine battling spirit in Motherwell and they have started the season better than most predicted. We, on the other hand, have some catching up to do and are confident that our latest signings will help us in that in task. Smart, Gunnlaugsson and Cummings will all be involved, quite likely from the start."
