United Under-21's failed to capitalise on their undoubted outfield superiority in a 1-1 draw with Partick Thistle this evening. It took until the 50th minute before O'Donnell netted to put United ahead. Midway through the second half, the visitors took control of the play and headed an equaliser with a quarter of an hour remaining.
United regained control after Thistle's goal but too many of their shots went narrowly past the goals and an opportunity to continue an excellent start to the season was lost.
