Former Tannadice hero Billy Dodds will officially rejoin the Club from Rangers on January 1st 2003 on a two and a half year deal. He signed a pre contract deal today, 30th December. Billy, who last played for United three years ago, will play for the Club on January 2nd in the home league game against Kilmarnock.
Eddie Thompson, Chairman of Dundee United said, "We worked extremely hard to bring Billy Dodds back to Tannadice. The negotiations were complex and demanding but in the end, we got the man we wanted. Billy was a superb player with Dundee United and there is no doubt that we have brought back a player of exceptional quality and talent."
Billy Dodds, who will wear the number 14 shirt, said, "I had probably one of the best times of my career at United. I feel as though I have come home. I am really looking forward to Thursday and getting back to playing football on a regular basis."
