HARTSON HURTS UNITED AGAIN

United lost 0-2 to Champions Celtic this evening and again John Hartson who has been a prolic scorer against the Tangerines damaged Paul Hegarty's side with the opening counter.

Gary Bollan started the match following his move from Livingston on Monday with fellow new signing Andy Tod on the bench.

United attempted to play some crisp passing football in the opening minutes however chances bagan to come Celtic's way and it came as no surprise when John Hartson, who has never failed to score when playing against United put the home side ahead after 25 minutes.

Larsson added a second some five minutes later and many in the stadium might then have expected a flurry of goals from Martin O'Neill's side however the scoring ended there.

United had only one decent attempt on goal all evening when Jim McIntyre blasted the ball over the bar with fifteen minutes left on the clock following a neat build up by the visitors.

Andy Tod made his debut in the second half and Gary Bollan performed very well and appeared to bolster the Tangerine defence.
