The draw for the third round of this season's Scottish Cup has paired United with Hibernian. There were four all SPL ties drawn out with the Tangerines being given home advantage. Ties are to be played on either January 25th or January 26th.
United have played Hibs twice already this season, losing 1-2 at Easter Road in a match where they deserved to take something from and in early December, Paul Hegarty's side drew 1-1 at Tannadice. Former Tangerine Steven Thompson scored for United in Edinburgh while Mark Wilson netted his first senior goal in the match at Tannadice.
