UNITED WITH CHANCE TO MOVE UP

9th March 2003

Ian McCall (pictured) takes his Dundee United side into this afternoon's Bank of Scotland premierleague match against Hibernian at Easter Road knowing that any result other than a defeat will take the Tangerines off the foot of the table.

Following Aberdeen's win at Fir Park yesterday, Motherwell remain above United only on goal difference and if his players can provide McCall with his first result on the road since he took over the Tannadice Manager's position, then the Tangerines will go into next week's home league match with Livingston with the opportunity of in amongst the five teams battling at the lower end of the league table.

Danny Griffin returns to the first team squad for this afternoon's visit to Leith. Having got through an hour of the midweek closed door match defeat against Falkirk in midweek, the Northern Ireland internationalist will be warmly welcomed back by the travelling Arab support should he feature in the game.

The match kicks off at 3.00pm and is pay-at-the-gate.
