Due to an unprecedented demand and consequent backlog of postal applications, Dundee United has decided to extend the season ticket discount deadline by a further week, until Saturday, 19 July. Ticket office opening hours will remain as advertised, opening late on Tuesday and Thursday until 7pm and until 12.30pm on Saturday.
Chairman Eddie Thompson said, "Due to the overwhelming response from our fans to this year's season ticket offer, we have been able to provide the Manager with additional financial resources to strengthen the team. I would like to thank the supporters for the tremendous response that we have received and we are extending the discount deadline up to and including next Saturday to enable even more of our supporters to take advantage of reduced prices. At this moment, sales of season tickets are 30% higher than at the corresponding period last season and if this trend continues, we may be in a position to strengthen the team even further. As a supporter as well as Chairman of Dundee United, it's great for me to see the backing being given to Ian McCall and his management team. For the first time in a long time, United fans are actually looking forward in anticipation to the new season."
