The new SPL campaign begins in earnest on Saturday 9th August 2003 and Manager Ian McCall has a full squad to choose from for his first game of the season.
The pre-season has gone well despite only a draw against Wacker Burghausen and the defeat against Unterhaching. Both these sides are Bundesliga Second Division teams but when United came up against them they were both well into their pre-season preparation whilst the Tannadice outfit were just beginning theirs and new players were settling in. It is worth mentioning that Unterhaching opened their campaign last Saturday with a 4-2 win against Greuther F
