NINE TROPHIES SCOOPED AT DUNDEE UNITED'S PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARDS

For the visit to the City Ground, Livingston, Manager Ian McCall made two changes to the starting line-up with Mark Kerr and Barry Robson on the bench to make way for Andy McLaren and Billy Dodds. All through the game both sides had chances to score and possibly win. It was a match in which it appeared one goal would be sufficient to take all three points, but in the end both teams had to settle for a share of the spoils.
In the first half the home side had the better of the chances and Pasquinelli saw his snap shot saved and Danny Griffin headed a powerful Fernandez effort off the line. Makel, Andrews, McAllister and Quino also tried their luck but Bullock saved well from the latter of these and the others failed to get their attempts on target. For United, Collin Samuel (pictured) hit the side netting and Jim McIntyre hit a deflected free-kick on target, while Billy Dodds managed to get a couple of shots on target but they did not cause the keeper any real trouble.
The second half started with Kerr on for Samuel and the Tangerines had the better of the opening exchanges. McIntyre robbed Livingston's captain Rubio and his cut-back caused the home defence all sorts of problems before the ball was eventually cleared. Griffin was unlucky with a free-kick that went narrowly over the bar and then he fired in a cross which Capin sliced towards his own goal but the ball was gathered gratefully by home keeper McKenzie. The last chance of the game fell to the home side but Andrews's powerful header was brilliantly tipped over by Bullock.
A share of the points was just about the correct outcome in a nervy game but the United Manager will at least be pleased to have watched his side record a clean sheet and come away with a point.
