SPL STATEMENT

31st March 2004

The following decisions regarding Stadia proposals that the SPL received from various clubs were made at today's SPL General Meeting:

Approval was given to Heart of Midlothian FC's application to groundshare at Murrayfield for season 2004/05, subject to a legally binding contract being in place between Heart of Midlothian FC and the SRU by the 30th of May 2004.

It was agreed that Dundee FC could use Tannadice Park as their registered ground for season 2004/05, subject to a legally binding contract being in place between Dundee FC and Dundee United FC by the 30th of May, 2004. In addition to this, if Dens Park comes under new ownership, Dundee FC would be given approval to remain at Dens Park again subject to a contract being in position by the 30th May 2004.

Falkirk FC's proposal to groundshare with Dunfermline Athletic FC at East End Park, if promoted to the SPL, for season 2004/05 was also approved. Once again, this is subject to a legally binding contract being in place between Falkirk FC and Dunfermline Athletic FC by the 30th of May 2004.

Applications from Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and Clyde FC for a period of grace to meet the SPL's Stadia Criteria were declined.

Clyde FC also applied for approval for a groundsharing arrangement with Kilmarnock FC at Rugby Park. This was approved by the SPL subject to a legally binding contract between Clyde FC and Kilmarnock FC being in place by 30th of May 2004.

In every case the required legally binding contract is subject to verification and approval by the SPL. Clubs are only allowed one registered ground in any one season. All groundsharing arrangements that were approved will therefore apply for the entirety of season 2004/05.

Dundee FC's application for a waiver in relation to undersoil heating was declined.
