DUNDEE UNITED REPEAT £5 VOUCHER SCHEME

16th March 2004

Dundee United has announced that it is set to repeat the popular £5 discount voucher scheme to boost support at the next two home games. This follows the success of a similar exercise undertaken over the Xmas period. United fans who attend this weekend’s game against Kilmarnock will be given a £5 voucher, which can be used against the price of entry into the game against Motherwell on 27 March. The voucher will be issued to fans who pay cash at the turnstiles and to all season ticket holders. Cash-paying fans can use the voucher to obtain a £5 discount off the normal price, resulting in adults paying as little as £11 for the game against Motherwell. Senior Citizens will be able to gain admission for as little as £4 with the voucher. Season ticket holders who attend the Killie game will also be issued with a voucher which they can give to family or friends to use at the Motherwell game. Eddie Thompson, Chairman of Dundee United said, "We have now reached a very important part of the season. Despite a disappointing start to this year’s campaign, a top six finish is still possible especially with two home games coming up. The backing of our fans will be extremely important in these games. By repeating the successful discount voucher scheme, I hope that we can attract even more fans to give their vocal support at both games.”
