DUNDEE UNITED REPEAT £5 VOUCHER SCHEME

27th April 2004

Dundee United has announced that it is set to repeat the popular £5 discount voucher scheme to boost support at the next two home games. This follows the success of two similar exercises undertaken this season. United fans who attend this weekend’s game against Hearts will be given a £5 voucher, which can be used against the price of entry into the game against Dunfermline on Tuesday, 11 May. The voucher will be issued to fans who pay cash at the turnstiles and to all season ticket holders. Cash-paying fans can use the voucher to obtain a £5 discount off the normal price, resulting in adults paying as little as £11 for the game against the Pars. Senior Citizens and Under-18s will be able to gain admission for as little as £4 with the voucher. Season ticket holders who attend the game will also be issued with a voucher which they can give to family or friends to use at the Dunfermline game. Dundee United director Derek Robertson said, "Ian McCall said at the start of the season that he wanted to restore the "fortress" reputation to Tannadice. The team is now undefeated in eleven home games and we want to extend this to the end of the season, and beyond. The backing of the fans is extremely important in this and adds to the excitement, which has hardly been lacking in recent games! By repeating the successful discount voucher scheme, we hope that we can attract even more fans to give their vocal support at both games.”
