United remain hopeful that the Cameroon Olympic squad management will given permission for last week's signing Mvondo Atangana to play in the CIS Insurance Cup tie against Airdrie at Tannadice on Tuesday.
At present it is anticipated that he will head for the Olympics in Sydney at the end of the week and will not be available for the Tangerines again until 25th September at the earliest.
