Charlie Mulgrew has been awarded the Bank of Scotland Premierleague Young Player of the Month Award for February at Tanndice today.
Signed on loan from Celtic in the winter transfer window, Charlie has had a memorable second month with United. Indifferent results and a subsequent injury, keeping him now out for several weeks, are the flip side to three great performances and two stunning goals. The left back converted two free kicks against Inverness Caledonian Thistle only to end up on the losing side at full-time. His displays away at Motherwell and at home to Inverness and Hearts have earned him plaudits from many quarters including the Young Player judging panel.
The award was voted for by a judging panel from the Scottish Media.
