Dundee United today completed the signing, subject to international clearance, of former Dundee and Norwich player Mark Fotheringham on a short term contract until 31 December this year.
The player has signed a pre contract agreement with Anorthosis Famagusta.of Cyprus and will join that club in January. In the meantime he needs to keep match fit and this short term deal is therefore mutually beneficial.
Manager Craig Levein said, "Mark is a player I know well and I was pleased to offer him training facilities recently. He's impressed during this spell and a short term deal until he moves to Cyprus suits both parties. He is a quality player and will further strengthen the options I have in the midfield area of the team."
Subject to international clearance, the player will be included in the squad for tomorrow's match at McDiarmid Park.
