WEE DERBY TONIGHT

2nd September 2014

Stevie Campbell's charges travel to Gayfield, Arbroath, tonight to take on city rivals Dundee in the Development League with a 7pm kick-off. The young Terrors come into this hotly anticipated game buoyed by a strong second half performance against Celtic in the opening fixture of this year’s campaign which secured a 2-2 draw. Dundee come into the match having drawn their opening fixture v St Johnstone and suffered defeat 1-0 away to St Mirren in last week’s offering. With an international weekend ahead, this is your opportunity to get your United fix and see the best of what the City of Dundee has to offer at development level. Ahead of the game, the ArabZONE cameras spoke to Assistant Manager Dave Bowman. “We had a bounce game last week versus St Johnstone which we won 2-1 but the level will rise for the wee derby. It isn’t about results at this level but it is always good to win a derby regardless of level! “If the guys can go there and give a good account of themselves having taken on board the stuff they are being educated upon in training and win the game, we will all be happy.” Admission is £2 for adults and foc for U-16s. Both teams would appreciate a good backing in what will be the first of several city of Dundee derbies in the coming weeks.
