Stevie Campbell Signs New Contract

Dundee United today announced that Stevie Campbell has signed a new contract with the Club as Head of Youth Recruitment and Development. The Dundonian has been at Tannadice since 2006 and has played a significant role in ensuring the Club’s reputation as one of the country’s top youth academies. The new contract covers an expansion in Stevie’s role now including key responsibility for the integration of development prospects pathway into the first team squad. He will also work closely with the Youth Academy Manager and scouts to identify future prospects at youth level in order to maximise young player development opportunities. Chairman Stephen Thompson said, “We are delighted that Stevie has committed his future to Dundee United Football Club. We are continuing to follow a strategy that identifies and develops some of the best young players in the country who can, in turn, blend into a team that entertains and rewards the supporters. “This is a process that requires patience but our football management team and coaching staff believe in this strategy as we believe it provides the best long term security for the club.” Stevie Campbell said, “I love working at this Club and the opportunity to continue to develop players who will star for Dundee United remains my passion. This Club gives young players an opportunity to flourish as footballers and I am delighted to accept the opportunity to continue working hard for the future of Dundee United.”
