Alex Smith has made arrangements for his first team squad to visit a plush training headquarters near Arnhem for a week-long stint from 15th July 2001 - but at the same time De Vos will be representing his country in the Copa America Tournament in Colombia.
The big centre-half already knows that his opponents in the mid-July event are to be Argentina, Uruguay, and Bolivia. However, United at this stage are uncertain who they will be facing when they head off for the Netherlands. "Fixing up fixtures for the Dutch trip is something I want to be looking at very soon," commented boss Smith.
Northern Ireland cap Danny Griffin has returned to Tayside unscathed after representing his homeland in the Czech Republic.
