Danny Griffin has returned safely to Tayside after representing Northern Ireland in back to back World Cup qualifying internationals against Bulgaria at Windsor Park on 2 June and in the Czech Republic on 6 June.
Both games were lost but the feeling from the Northern Ireland camp was that the two very brave displays were a tremendous encouragement for the future.
