SMITH’S SIGNING POLICY CLARIFIED

Media speculation which has seen United linked to a number of players in the last few weeks has been given short shrift by Manager Alex Smith who has made it clear that he is not in any rush to sign-up new players. "I won't sign players for the sake of it," he emphasised. "I must be convinced in making any signings that whoever comes in is going to play regularly by virtue of the fact he is better than what we already have."
