DAVID DORWARD APPOINTED

Dundee United are delighted to announce the appointment of David Dorward as an Associate Director at the Club. David, who recently retired from the post of Chief Executive of Dundee City Council brings a wealth of experience to the Tannadice boardroom. He served in local government in various high-profile capacities for 43 years, the last five of them in charge of Dundee City Council. A keen United supporter, he is a member of ArabTRUST and also a United representative on the charity United for All. United chairman Stephen Thompson said, “David is a great addition to our boardroom. He has vast experience in local government and brings a skill set which will help to strengthen and improve us” He added, “I promised recently that we were looking to bring fresh faces and a new vision to the boardroom. We have already done that with the appointment of the entrepreneur Laura Conway, and David is further evidence of that progressive change.” David said “I am delighted to accept this invitation to join Dundee United as an Associate Director. With over forty years of service in local government, I feel that I have a wide range of skills which can be of significant benefit and add value to the club. There are many changes happening at Tannadice and I look forward to being part of those and to helping United to have a positive and bright future.”
